A "chain" dream linking the dreams of high-flying futures brokers with the dreams of those who produce the commodities, usually in the so-called "third world", usually in conditions of violence and poverty conjured up in the dreams of a financier long ago. A chain dream of futures brokers. With Christine Cynn, Valentin Manz and Joshua Openheimer
2000 Founding member of Vision Machine, with Josh Oppenheimer and Cristine Cynn, joined in 2003 by Michael Uwemedimo. Vision Machine seeked to trace and analyse the implication of cinema in the systemic violence of modernity. The collective aimed both to chart the historical implication of cinema as an agent of this systemic violence and to develop reflective and emancipatory production methods and film forms that might allow this history to be imagined otherwise.Drawing inspiration from the work of Jean Rouch, Augusto Boal, Myles Horton and Paolo Freire, the collaboration has produced The Globalisation Tapes, numerous shorter experimental films and gallery works as well as interventions in public space.
2000-4 Runs Saltfish, a mini film school for local people, making films and cinematic interventions all across London. Results in an experimental reality tv show, episodes 1-7, in collaboration with Christine Cynn, Joshua Oppenheimer and Valentin Manz.
